Itinerary Overview
This is an 8-day (7 night) luxury South African safari itinerary starting in Johannesburg, and combining the contrasting landscapes of the Tswalu Kalahari and Sabi Sand Private Game Reserves.
Arrive at Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport and transfer to The Residence Hotel in Houghton.
Johannesburg is the economic capital and gateway to Southern Africa, and Houghton Estate, often simply called Houghton, an affluent suburb north – east of the city center, best known for being the home of Nelson Mandela.
Transfer to O.R. Tambo International Airport. Scheduled Fireblade Aviation flight to Tswalu Kalahari Game Reserve.

Your Tswalu experiences include, private game viewing with a dedicated vehicle, guide and tracker walking safaris and nature walks, visiting the habituated meerkats, horse riding bird watching, stargazing, finding some of the oldest bushman rock engravings in Africa or visiting the community clinic, preschool and Tswalu Foundation research projects.
Take a scheduled Fireblade Aviation flight from Tswalu to Johannesburg. Transfer to the Federal Air Hangar. Scheduled Federal Airlines flight to Londolozi Airstrip. Transfer to Londolozi Tree Camp.
Adjacent to the Kruger National Park, the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve is the first-ever private nature reserve established in South Africa. The landscape features 65,000 hectares of savannah interspersed with watering holes, dry riverbeds, Lowveld woodlands, and the perennial Sabi and Sand rivers.
Your Londolozi experience might include game drives traversing over 16,000 hectares of wilderness, yoga, meditation, spa treatments and gym at the Healing House, astronomy lectures and sleep outs at the Lookout. There is access to the John Varty Cinematography Center, trail running, tracking adventures and full day walking expeditions, birding, fishing, clay pigeon shooting, a village walk in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela or a daytrip into the surrounding Communities and Shangaan Cultural Village and Learning Center.
